Steps Toward Writing Success
There are a few steps that will guide you toward writing success. Whether you are a new writer just getting started or a polished author, these basic steps will lead you to a successful writing business.
1. Stay motivated. Nothing kills a writer's success more than lack of determination. Don’t give up so easily. Every entrepreneur will have stumbling blocks in the way. Your job is to find a way around those.
2. Stay active. Seems pretty easy and self-explanatory but most often writers give up before they become successful. They work hard for the first few months but give up due to lack of resources, time, energy and faith. Authors need to write some every day in order to accomplish their goals.
3. Research and Take Rapid Action. What this means is that you can do some research about the book market. Find out what type of genres are selling and then take immediate action. Whatever you need to do to accomplish your end goal is what you need to do. Don’t wait for someone else to help you, take swift action now.
4. Engage the Customer- Any business needs to interact with their customers, either by face to face interaction or through emails or online support. A writer might set up speaking engagements, book signings or attend book seminars.
5. Market and Advertise your books. Whatever type of books you are selling, you need to have a marketing plan in place. Set a Budget for markeing.
6. Hire a writing Coach- A writing coach can help you polish your manuscript, stay on task, find a great publisher and teach you ways to market your book.
